We Care Community Festival
We Care, We Organize, We Deliver: A Model to Build On

The inaugural We Care Community Festival united schools, families, churches, artists, and health providers for a day filled with learning, service, and celebration. From distributing backpacks and books to offering on-site health care and youth activities, the festival demonstrated the strength that comes from a community working together.
Food was another highlight of the event. Trinity CME Church generously provided seven pallets of food, supporting 213 households and 668 individuals. The Mozel Sanders Foundation contributed 250 hot meals for both community members and volunteers. Many volunteers also signed up to receive food during the festival. These acts of kindness underscored that care and nourishment are central to advancing equity. The festival’s success made one thing clear: when we join forces, we create stronger children, stronger families, and a more resilient community.
